Bremen & Celle House Sneak Peak

Last weekend we went to Bremen. I have to admit that it was one of my favorite trips so far. We really enjoyed this beautiful little city. It was market day in town so we got to explore the Bremen market as we toured around. The weather was amazing too! We love warm weather! We hope you enjoy our pictures.

Tryus usually has the IPdad playing white noise while he goes to sleep at night. This time he found it in his crib and was trying to talk to Sari... she was "NOT AVAILABLE". It was funny to hear "Sari Not Available" coming from his room rather than the usual baby music.
This is a picture of Nate and the kids outside St. Peter's Church in Bremen.
A very beautiful church indeed. We even got to go to the church tower. Pictures of that below.

Here is an interesting sculpture outside the church. Looks painful.
The mosaics outside the church were so detailed and amazing.

This is from the gardens of the church yard.
Inside most of the churches here you cannot use a flash so please forgive the bad lighting. The paintings were just awesome!

Oh the stained glass was great too! It's amazing to me the talented people that built these historical churches. Simply gorgeous.

Climbing the tower steps took FOREVER. Cosette needed a dance break!
 A long way to go!
Eventually it got so narrow and low that Nathan had to crawl up the stairs with Tryus on his back. He was a good sport! SUPERDAD
A view from the top of the tower.
Here is the church bell that we passed on our climb up.
This is Roland. He's in the town square.
 The Town Hall.
This is the entrance to the Schnoor, which is a section of the city that is known for its narrow streets and great shopping.
The Bremen Town Musicians statue. This is another Grimm Brothers Tale. It's good luck to touch the Donkey's two front legs at the same time. So hopefully we have better luck now.

This family was sharing their talents with all of Bremen. They even had the little girls dancing in the front. It was a fun way to lighten the mood and I enjoyed hearing the music.
Inside another church in Bremen we went into the basement. There were old murals there; most of the paint is gone but it was so neat to see the colors that were once there.

This sculpture was on the houses in the Schnoor. Crazy!

I probably should not have taken pictures of someone's art without asking but I liked it and I don't think they will ever find out.

Bremen had lots of random sculptures and surprises around every corner.
Check out that huge line of laundry!
Since Bremen is home to the Town Musicians then it is only natural that there would be a music school there! We were graced with the talents of several musicians as we walked by. (we could hear them practicing from the outside as we walked pass the windows)

This may look like Cosette is looking at a sewer drain. Well think again. This is actually a collection box for a Bremen charity. You drop your coin in and then one of the Town Musicians (Donkey, Dog, Cat, Rooster) make their animal sound back to you.
This is Cosette outside our front door here in Celle Germany.
We live in this beautiful little garden house in downtown Celle. Our apartment is on the top floor.
 Spring is coming!
Another view of our house from the entrance.
Celle was having a Sunday carnival or something last Sunday and we were just taking a walk through town. We had no idea that this was scheduled to happen. Cosette was grateful for the free balloon. Our friend Nakita was also randomly walking through town and gave Coco a bit of her treat.
Celle has a LOVE BRIDGE. Couples put their names and date of marriage then put the lock on the bridge showing their commitment to one another. I'm not sure what they do with the keys. Maybe Nate and I will have to place a lock there too.

Coco hanging out in Celle with her treat!

I don't know if this video will work but it is of the church bells in Bremen. There is also a panoramic view of the Town Square. I hope it works for you because those bells were amazing!
