Munich

Last weekend we went to Munich. It was way fun and we really had a good time. Nathan even took some days off work so we could have some extra time to explore Germany as a family. This was one of our favorite trips so far!
This picture is actually from a small afternoon trip we took to a church near Celle.

Check out that massive bird's nest!

It's like a fairy tale looking at these beautiful scenes around Germany.

Alright here starts the Munich trip. This picture is from Wurzburg. It had a beautiful palace with AMAZING painted ceilings inside. Too bad we could not take pictures.
Eating lunch in the car.

This was inside the palace chapel. We could take photos in there so enjoy. it was beautiful but still does not compare to the paintings in the Palace.

Tyrus taking a nap.
Palace Gardens.

Coco loves to pick flowers. We were glad that she stuck to the less desirable flowers and left the garden flowers alone.

Birds singing in the trees. It was a perfect day!

Wurzburg had some old churches that we toured too.

Check out what this handsome man has in his hand. We are defiantly still in Germany.
The fort overlooking the city of Wurzburg.
The Girls.
The Boys.
Coco loves Strawberry Gelato!

While in the Munich area we also took a trip to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. It was beautiful and we had a great day exploring the Alps around the two castles there.

Most people only remember Neuschwanstein Castle but there is another castle in the same town. We toured Hohenschwangau Castle first then went to Neuschwanstein.

Hohenschwangau Castle.

Amazing views!

We loved the tour group from Japan. They were snapping pictures of Cosette left and right. They loved her. And we returned the favor and took some pictures of them. Work it Work it! Earn those FACEBOOK LIKES!
This gave us a good laugh. Only a couple of days before we left on this trip Cosette was wearing her pink sweater backwards. Little did we know that this was some sort of fad!

Nathan went up to the viewing bridge to get some pictures of Neuschwanstein Castle. The kids and I waited in the grassy area below the Castle courtyard. When he got back we took some pictures of them.

Crazy after-bath hair!
While in Munich it was raining so we stayed dry while visiting the Deutsches Museum. Nathan taught Coco all about drill bits.
Coco likes to explore everything! It was lots of fun and so educational. We could have spend days there becoming an expert on things from Music to Machinery. Lots of stuff!

For those that do not know. Nathan had a chapter in his life that we was a trombone player. her could not resist a quick photo with his instrument of choice.
The small circular platform Nate is standing on spins and if you hold the little dumbbells close to your body to go fast and out to go slower.
Galileo's work bench. This was in the Physics area. It showed what his work area may have looked like.
Cosette and Tyrus enjoyed playing in KIDS KINGDOM. They climbed in the firetruck.
Tyrus loved playing the drums.
Cosette had a hard time walking in the rain. She was a little tired too!
This is Nymphenburg Palace. It's very close to Munich and was beautiful even if it was raining our whole visit.

This video shows the beautiful ceiling in the Palace.
The King had a room in the Palace that he called the HALL OF BEAUTIES. This is just one of the women he had displayed there. It was interesting that all of the women had dark brown hair. I guess he was into brunettes.

I thought that this statue was interesting and illustrated how I feel holding babies sometimes. Don't you hate it when they straiten their back and get so wiggly you can barely hold onto them anymore?

The rain brought out lots of little creatures. This slug was one of them. We also saw many worms along the way. Cosette made sure to stop and inspect them all before continuing our walk through the Palace gardens.
This was inside the kitchen of the hunting Pavilion on the Palace grounds.
Another Pavilion. This was used as a resting place when they would play croquet.
Cosette things she is such a princess. She loves to have little towels for her body and hair.

Hum. I wonder what part of this statue the people touch the most.
Town Hall in Munich. There was a soccer game that day so they had a huge screen set up so the people could watch in the Market square.

Inside the Ferrari Store. We thought of Bruce when we went in. He has always wanted a Ferrari. now we know where he can go to get some accessories for it.

The catfish ate my husband!

Aw she fell asleep with her scarf on her head.
Sleeping babies!
The fields here in Germany are so beautiful. It really does look like fields of gold!
We are so blessed to live here and enjoy this beautiful country. Germany is great.
