Becoming Texans

We officially moved to TX in the beginning of June. We love it here and are so glad that we made the move. Everyone has been very warm and welcoming. Although we do miss our family it's nice to be "On-Our-Own" so to speak. Nathan started his job on the 4th of June. He enjoys having a set schedule of work and family time. He also likes that he is making money. Being a student was not cutting it anymore. So Nathan keeps busy at work all day while Cosette and I play at home. Most days you can find us at the pool cooling off from the TX summer heat. Cosette loves to swim and she is not scared of the water at all. We also like to  have play time in her room. She loves to play with her babies. She spends hours swaddling them, feeding them play food and even tries to give them her cheerios from her church bag. She calls them her "baby snacks". I guess they need to eat too right? This past week she refused to wear anything but dresses. That's fine but it can be annoying because she has to pick it out and that takes at least 10 minutes of back and forth between this one and that one. One minute it's a yes then it's a no. It's fun being a stay-at-home / play-at-home mom. I enjoy watching Cosette grow and although it can be challenging at times with her tantrums and strong willed personality, I would not trade it for any other job in the world. I had an appointment with the doctor and everything on Baby Peruch looks great. So far no crazy amounts of amniotic fluid so that is a great sign. We are excited to meet him in August! Still no news on the name front. We cannot commit to anything yet. But don't worry he will have a name...eventually. What we can tell you is that his last name will most defiantly be PERUCH. Enjoy the pictures of our life so far in TX.

We always check in on Cosette before we go to bed and she likes to have variety in her sleeping locations. As you can see this night we found her in the baby carseat. Anthoer night we found her in his baby swing.
After we put her to bed sometimes she calls out to us. "mommy! mommy!" times like 100! Sometimes we check on her if we think that it could be because she actually needs help or something. One such occasion we found her in the closet in the FOLDED up stroller. She climbed in and could not get out. When we first entered the room we could not find her. It was pretty funny.
Notice in the next few pictures of Cosette how she always leans to her right side.
 Eating grapes!
Coco and daddy! Notice the spillage on her shirt. She likes to practice using big girl cups (no lid). Sometimes she is successful sometimes she is not. In this case not so much.
Me at 31 weeks pregnant. Now we are 32 weeks along and doing great. Keep growing Baby Peruch! And yes I know that horizontal stripes are not figure flattering but I like them.
Cosette turned 2 years old on June 26th. The week before (June 19th)  was Giuseppe's birthday celebration where we had a family day. We had a cake that day and played some fun family games. Then Cosette got her special day only 7 days after that. She loved having a day all about her.
Coco and her gifts. She wore a special birthday hat too! I made her a little streamer wand to play with. She kept saying "Wow" as she looked at it and waved it around. Then as she opened her other gifts all she could say was "WOW! WOW! WOW!" She is easy to please with gifts I guess.
There she is with her wand, hat and SWIMMER VEST! Hopefully this will keep her a little safer around the pool. Like I said she is not scared of the water. We tested it out this past week and she loves it. It's also nice for me not to hold her the whole time we swim.
The birthday girl blowing out her candles. Not a fancy cake but she picked it out. She wanted the strawberry cake with pink icing and berries on top. With pink candles of course. We were glad that she knew what to do with the candles. She blew them out all on her own. What a big girl.

Sounds like Coco knows exactly what she wants, when she wants it! Can't wait to see pictures of the new Peruch! We're rooting for red hair! :)

You look great Rachael! Love the dress. And Coco is so funny. I am sure it gets annoying, but I think it is funny how she gets out of bed and gets into things when she should be sleeping. She is a funny girl :)
