Nathan will be working for Baker Hughes. It's an energy service company. (If you want to know more about it ask Nathan.) He is in their rotational program. This means that he will be switching locations and positions in the company so that he gets a crash course of sorts in the companies procedures and such. We start our adventure in Houston Texas. We will be there until the end of December and then move to the second rotation. The second rotation will be the international assignment. We were told that we are most likely going to be placed in either Singapore or Germany. Both sound great to us so we have no preference. The rest of the rotations will be given to us as they get closer and they know the needs of the company. We are pushing to have more international assignments for several reasons. One being that Nathan would be great networking exposure. Another reason is that it would be lots of fun to experience new cultures and traditions.
Enjoy the pictures from graduation:
Nathan and Cosette all dressed up for graduation.
The Peruch family.
Nathan and his friend Matt. They were in the same graduating class. Matt and his wife Sara are good friends of ours. We will miss them but wish them the best along with all the other friends we made while here in State College PA.
Cosette and her best buddy Jackson. Don't they look charming!
The Sunday after graduation some of the MBA graduates and their families got together to light lanterns into the night sky. Cosette enjoyed sitting with Jackson and running around the field before the lantern release.
Nathan letting a lantern go.
Cosette was very excited about all the beautiful lights in the sky. She pointed to the lanterns and clapped her hands at the sight. It was really cute to watch her get so excited over something.
Nathan's parents Janet and Mark came to visit for graduation. They were also a great help while we tried to get a toddler to sit through a graduation ceremony. After graduation we went on a trip to see some eastern sights. First we went to Niagara Falls NY.
It was a rainy day so we did not stay long at the falls. It was fun to see but I felt like I was going to have a heart attack anytime Cosette was out of her stroller. It was a long way down and I did not want her to think that it was OK to get in the water.
Mark and Janet. We had so much fun visiting with them.
The next stop on our trip was in Palmyra NY, the restoration sight of our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Cosette could not go without her nap so I stayed in the hotel with her while everyone else went to the Temple in the morning and then to the other locations around Palmyra. Cosette and I did go to some but we sure did have a good time playing in the hotel too. The picture above is of Cosette with an ice bucket on her head. She had fun. The part she liked the most was swimming in the pool at the hotel. She is a little mermaid because this little one is not afraid of the water at all. She would have stayed in there all day if I let her.
After Palmyra we went to Cooperstown NY. There is not much to do in Cooperstown but go to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Nathan and Mark had a great time. This NY Yankee cow was there to greet us as we walked in.
Cosette learned how to say "baseball" and that is about it. Cosette did not like reading all the little bits of baseball information so we took the fast tour through the museum. Janet, Cosette and I then went to lunch while the boys stayed behind like good baseball fans. They spent about 5 hours there looking and reading all they could about America's game.
Our family in the Hall of Fame.
A big thanks to Mark and Janet for a great trip and for all the help with little Cosette. I sure could not have done this trip without Janet's help.
Cosette loves her Grandma Peruch.
Outside the museum are some statues that we took some fun pictures with. Cosette and her Daddy.
Coco and Mommy.
Don't trip the pitcher!
Cosette wanted to sit on this female baseball player's leg.
As we were making our way home to State College we took a stop in Williamsport PA. I had a doctor's appointment to check up on little baby Peruch. He is doing great and I am feeling pregnant but otherwise good. Cosette stayed in the car with Grandma and Grandpa. Looks like they let her drive a little.
A trip to State College PA would not be complete without seeing the Penn State campus and all the memorable statues and sights. Here is Cosette with Grandma and Grandpa Peruch at the Joe Paterno statue outside Beaver Stadium.
Mark had to have a Penn State hoodie to take home.
Our little family in our Penn State colors.
Look at Cosette!
We will miss Penn State and all our friends that we have made here. It was so fun to be close to my family and also experience the school spirit that Penn State has. We will never forget the memories that we have had here and cannot wait to make more in our new locations throughout the world!
Cosette was only one month old when we moved here and she will be 2 years old in a little over a month. She has grown up so fast. We are excited to see her grow more she is such a joy.
