2010 Round Up

Life for the Peruch family has been busy. We visited family and friends these last few weeks, we had Christmas together (Cosette's first one out of the womb) and I ran a 5K race here in State College with my little sister Phoebe (too bad we got beat by a couple of crazy fast 8 year olds...seriously they schooled us). Oh well, we just wanted to get up those hills alive and running. Nate has been staying warm with his beard and really has had a nice break from all the school work. So enjoy the pictures. And look for more posts to come about more fun filled adventures of the Peruch family.
I love her eyebrows! So expressive.
A true beauty. We are so blessed to be her parents. Cosette is getting so big and she loves to roll around, sit up all by herself. She has now officially moved from a supported sitter to a full on sitter. Way to go Cosette!
Perhaps one of the most exciting things that Cosette does now is EAT. She had her first taste of "real" food a couple of weeks ago and she loved it. She couldn't get enough. She really likes to sip out of cups...well pretend to. So anyway, at the end of her feedings we let her lick out the last few drops of rice cereal. I think that's her favorite part. The first feeding was a mess but she has gotten the hang of it now and does a good job of it.
 Ah...life is good!
Cosette got GLASSES! No not really but she let us put on these fake ones and didn't try to take them off either. I was surprised but maybe since Nate and I both wear ours she thought that it was what people do. I want to get her some baby sun glasses for the summer. Now watch she won't think glasses are cool then. We shall see.
Before we went to my parent's home for Christmas we went to the Valley forge area to visit the Cooks. It was so much fun to see them again. We went to Valley forge and ate Philly cheese steaks...a real PA celebration.
Cosette was begging me to let her be George Washington at the Valley Forge Museum. So I held her while she soaked up being the First President of the USA. Too bad her arm is sticking out. She looked so happy!
This is our family Christmas morning. We all wore our footie PJs. As you can see Nate has a full beard going. You will see more about this in the future when I dedicate a post to the bearded man.
Winter can be tough for babies with the cold weather but not for Cosette, she has a brand new coat and boots to keep her winter worry free.
In downtown State College they have a First Night 5K (Dec. 31) and also have ice sculptures all over town for people to look at. Like I said earlier, Phoebe and I ran the 5K. Before the race we all looked at the amazing sculptures.
It's State College...they live for football here.
I like this one...the ice was so clear.
There was also a huge ice sleigh...Cosette didn't see it thank goodness or I'm sure she would have insisted she ride it like all the other kids.
This fish one was cool. My little brother Sawyer loves to fish so I thought that he would like the picture.
Last but not least...She is a ballerina doing the Yahtzee dance.
