Our Life

I am really behind on blogging. SORRY! So here is a mass post to show you some of the things we have been up to. We are getting used to State College now. Our ward is great. I am on the compassionate service committee in the Relief Society and Nathan doesn't have a calling yet but does finally have a home teaching assignment so he is excited to start getting to know more families by doing visits. Nate is at school most of the week. He gets there around 6am and usually doesn't come home until after 5pm. So Cosette and I are busy having fun at home. I love being a stay at home mom. Cosette is growing up fast so I am glad I get to watch as she learns so many new things. I just wish Nate could witness more of it. Enjoy the pictures.
Above: In October Cosette and I went to Way Fruit Farm with some Relief Society sisters and their children. We all went on a tractor ride and toured the apple farm. It was lots of fun and very interesting. Cosette didn't really care that much at that point but it was great to get out of the house and enjoy the day.
Above: We thought that it would be fun to see if Cosette could fit into our large steamer pot. And she did!
Above: Cosette still loves to get baths. Now that she is bigger she splashes around and laughs about it.
Above: There are a lot of students in Nathan's MBA program that are from India so they always have a Diwali Celebration (also known as the festival of lights). There was a dinner with Indian food and lots of dances and other cultural activities. We had a lot of fun and the food was amazing. Cosette was a little scared of all the people that were around her but she did pretty good.
Above: Cosette is now over 5 months old and she has long grown out of all her newborn and 3-6 months clothes. She fits better into the 6-9 months and she even has some 18 month leggings that she wears. It's so fun to see her grow. She is 17 pounds and 25.5 inches long.
Above: This is Cosette and my younger brother Hiram. He left for his mission in November. He was called to serve in Bolivia. I wanted to get a picture of them together so that we could see how much both of them change over 2 years....Cosette more than Hiram.
Above: Now that it's December here in PA it's getting cold. So Cosette gets all bundled up in her winter hat and coat. I love this hat on her. And she doesn't try to take it off either...smart girl.
Above: This is Cosette in the outfit that I came home from the hospital in when I was a baby. My mom saved it. Thanks mom! Anyway we waited a little too long to try it on her and she was a little uncomfortable in the tight pink outfit. Oh well...it's a fun memory.
Above: As for other exciting news. Our car is now over 100,000 miles.
Above: Nathan and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on September 7th. We are so blessed to have each other. We are still best friends and are so excited to continue to grow our family together. It's so comforting to know that we are sealed for time and all eternity.
Above: We got our family pictures taken by my cousin Stephanie Pilling. She did an amazing job. We love all of them. Even the ones where Cosette is crying. If you want to see more of her work go to her web site at http://www.stephaniepilling.com/ And if you want to see more of our pictures then e-mail me and I can give you the password to open up our gallery from her site.
Above: This is another picture from the photo session with Stephanie. I love Cosette's eyes they are so full of wonder.
Above: Another one of my baby girl. I made her this tutu and thought it would be fun to get pictures of her in it. She just tried to eat it but I think we still got some cute shots.
