So most of you are probably wondering why we of all people are living in Vegas. Well I'll tell you the story so the questions get answered.
So there we were in Rexburg ID in the Fall of 2007. Nathan had just graduated from BYU-Idaho and I was scheduled to take the remainder of my classes online. We had to go somewhere. We needed to get some money. That's right , we were poor. So with a new degree and a fresh opportunity we moved to Las Vegas NV. Nate got a job as a manager for, you guessed it, Synergy Companies! (And he said he'd never work there again) Well it turned out to be the best move we have made so far. We are no longer poor and have a great apartment in the safe and casino free part of town. Well there are casinos everywhere so I guess not casino free but we are safe here. I am still taking classes online to Finish my degree.
We are in a great ward. Both of us have callings. Nate is the Teacher's Quorum Advisor and I am First Counselor in the Primary Presidency. We love working with the youth. They have such pure and simple testimonies of the gospel. The Las Vegas Temple is only about 20 minutes from our house and we love going. It's the most beautiful building in all of Vegas.
We have lots of friends here. The Davis family, the Kropf's and many more ward friends. Life here is great. So great that we often forget that we are living in the land of casinos and night life. Ask anyone who came to visit, we just don't like the strip. Sure there are some fun sights to see but lets face it there are some that we would like to forget too.
Anyway let us know if you are planning a trip to Vegas.
